Welcome to Team Atlantis!

This website will help students find any information he or she may have forgotten to write in the agenda or left in a locker.  It's also a great resource for parents!  On the left, one can find grading & classroom policies, formats for all typed and written work, and daily homework assignments for the 7th grade classes.

Please note, however, that this site is still a work in progress.  Any calendars that are posted are tentative and should be viewed as a "heads-up."

In addition, I am available by email for any other questions or concerns.

Atlantis History

The inhabitants of Atlantis were lovers of art, beauty and knowledge.  They were of superior intellect and used advanced technology:

Atlanteans were so vigorous and intelligent, so adept at developing their arts and technology and so industrious at exploiting the resources of the islands, that they soon established the world's first civilization.

Visitors to the city wrote enthusiastically of its beautiful women and handsome men; of the freedom they enjoyed...; of the skilled craftsmen..., and of fresh sea breezes...; of the busy markets...; and of frequent festivals.

The scientists and technocrats of Atlantis were not jealous of their skills and learning.  They acted as industrial missionaries who spread their knowledge all over the known world.  For many centuries, Atlantis was the center of the world.

From Plato's dialogues Timaeus and Critias, around 360 BC
